New Lithium Battery Technology
Friday 17th of December 2010fortu PowerCell, Inc. a 100% subsidiary of fortu Holding AG, headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, is commercializing a new rechargeable lithium battery technology based on a proprietary, non-flammable electrolyte. fortu is working on their site plan on Whitehall Road in Muskegon, being approved by the Muskegon Charter Township Board on December 6th, 2010. This development, one of the largest in Muskegon County at this time, is estimated to generate at least $626 million worth of private investment in the community, and generate around 726 high wage, highly skilled manufacturing jobs. This will make fortu the second largest manufacturing company in the county next to Alcoa Howmet.
