These boats have been through the rigorous United States Coast Guard small boat tests and passed the level flotation tests with flying colors. Because of the natural buoyancy of polyethylene material and additional cast-in flotational foam, Nauticraft boats will float even when swamped with water.

The Escapade's deep keel gives protection for the propeller and rudder. Since the keel is filled with a sand ballast, the craft is exceptionally seaworthy. The sailboat-type hull positions the operator down inside the cockpit, providing a comforting feeling of safety, security, and privacy. The Encore has twin keels that protect both propellers. It's massive size in length and beam gives it both stability and safety. The Sprite has two front keels and a large spade-type rudder that give it turn-on-a-dime maneuverability. The front keels allow you to bring the boat onto the beach while maintaining its upright position. The Sprite's hull has been carefully shaped to give it "form stability". The result is a boat that is small yet gives you a realistic feeling of security.

State-of-the-art Construction
All Nauticraft boats are constructed utilizing state-of-the-art rotomolding technology. A special mixture of plastic resin is introduced into full-sized cast aluminum molds and carefully processed in a massive computer-controlled oven. This process provides a one-piece hull so there are no seams or gaps to leak or break apart, and no protruding flange to crack down on a dock or other boat. And unlike fiberglass that has a thin gelcoat layer than can be scratched through, the color is molded completely through the material.

Environmently Safe
Lastly, all Nauticraft boats are safe for the environment. The manufacturing process utilizes clean technology -- no hazardous pollutants are released into the atmosphere. The polyethylene material is potentially recyclable - it can be ground up and remelted to form other products so it doesn't add to the ever-expanding landfill problem. And what better way to protect our precious water resources than through pedal power? No loud annoying engine noises to disturb wildlife or neighbors. Just peace and tranquility.
